I’m guessing many of those who usually scoff at New Year’s resolutions probably made some for 2022. Why? Because, like the rest of us, they’re hoping for some good changes. And hope doesn’t sit around waiting; it sets goals and works to achieve them, even if it takes time.
I’ll say more about that below, but first I want to update you with some great news about Planet of Eden! Since you’ve been following this blog, you know I’ve been up to my eyeballs in editing. Well, it took most of last year to get that done, but I met my goal and finished the last chapter on December 31, 2021! I still have to go back and make some tweaks in the first few chapters, but the manuscript is basically complete and ready to publish!
It’s still hard for me to believe that I’m done. Am I happy with the result? Absolutely! The only thing more exciting than having a finished novel is getting it into your hands to read, and that will be Part 2 of Project Eden.
From this point on, I will be focusing my attention on developing the book’s supporting artwork. To get that started, I’ll launch a crowd-funding site where supporters of this project (who I affectionately refer to as fellow Edenites) will be able donate. Those funds will be used as a kick-start to hire artists.
In addition to the crowd-funding, I’ll be working on print publishing and project marketing. So, it’s going to be a very busy 2022 for me, but the year will be filled with exciting milestones and successes.
Now, back to the theme of resolutions and goals. As you look ahead to 2022, how do you feel? Hopeful, or fearful? Excited, or anxious? Blessed, or blah? Forget 2021. That’s gone. Focus on what’s ahead of you. What is your mindset going into the new year? Sure, there will be obstacles to overcome, relationships to navigate, and problems to solve. Can you also believe there will be personal victories, people who will love you, and new opportunities? How about inner joy, a life purpose, and a spirit of hope? These are all in front of you, but you must seize them to make them yours.
It’s my hope that, like me, you’ll commit yourself in 2022 to focusing on the positive instead of the negative…even when you don’t feel it…even if it takes time. Speak life into yourself, and speak yourself into life. Make that resolution with me. If we do it together, we can move galaxies! Be well, be creative, and be an awesome YOU!

Great thoughts of hope in a great blog post.
We all need it, especially at the dawn of a new year. Hope isn’t a mood, it’s a state of mind. We can feel moody, but still hold onto hope. Let’s all have a GREAT 2022!
